Family literacy is the foundation of lifelong learning that helps individuals and communities grow and prosper. Parents and community members are welcomed to come out and learn about how they can help their child become a better reader and how we can build a community of readers.
Pre-register by February 28th to win a prize for your child and be entered in a drawing to win a Sony tablet PC. Participants will also receive free books to help build their home library.
This conference is sponsored by: Children’s Services Council, Bridges at Pahokee, Americorps, Literacy Coalition of Palm Beach County, Mary & Robert Pew Foundation, The Mentor Center at Pahokee, Pahokee Youth Enrichment Academy and Pahokee Elementary International Baccalaureate World School.
The School District of Palm Beach County encourages a collaborative environment in which the parents and families of our students are invited and encouraged to be involved. The School Board recognizes the vital role parents/guardians and family play in the education, welfare and values of its students, and that the education of each student is a responsibility shared by the school and the student’s parents/guardians and family members.
